Distance SNR

topic posted Tue, September 19, 2006 - 8:16 AM by  Sat-Sung
Hi everyone, anyone out there interested in doing distance Sat Nam Rasayan mediations with me? For those new at it, it requires more concentration than sitting in the same room as other SNR practitioners, but it is just as effective. Right now I'm between distance SNR meditation groups, and would like to start up another. Anyone who's interested, please let me know.

    Sat Sung,
How does a distant SNR group meditation work? Do you cyncronize a time and meditation or do you mean a distant healing session?

      Hi Ln,

What I mean is that at a specific time, everyone involved begins practicing Sat Nam Rasayan together, notwithstanding that they are physically not sitting in the same location.

There is a common pre-set intention. For example, before hand it could be agreed upon that the intention will be healing for a certain person.

Afterwards I find it best for participants to share with one another (via email, chat, whatever) their experiences of the session, as would occur were everyone physically sitting in the same room.

My personal experience is that it can be harder to focus, but for me I believe that it is because I personally prefer practicing (whether it be Sat Nam Rasayan, yoga, other forms of meditation, whatever) with others, and not alone. However, one thing that I very very much like about distance sessions is that I find that it can sharpen my experience, perhaps due to the increased awareness/focus that I need. Another thing that is great about distance sessions is that it allows people that ordinarily would not be able to practice Sat Nam Rasayan together due to geographical limitations, to practice Sat Nam Rasayn together.

Basically anything that can be done in a Sat Nam Rasayan session can be done by distance. I find that it's best to clarify at the start of the session exactly who is present, and to make sure that the intention is set properly so there is more strength in the focus.

Please let me know if I've answered you entire question, or if you would like more details.

Sat Nam Sat-Sung, it sounds like fun to do a SNR healing at a synchronized time with healers from other countries, and I'd like to participate. I live in Los Angeles, which might make it a little more challenging to schedule a time convenient for everybody. However, SNR can transcend time, as well as geography.

I'm thinking it would be a really great start if we take turns working on each other for the first number of sessions to see how it goes. It's really important that healers have a strong support system so they are better able to help others. Also, we can share progress on how the treatments are working, if everyone is comfortable with that.

        What do you think, Sat-Sung?
