Lately I've been giving Sat Nam Rasayan sessions a few times a week with very positive results from my "patients", even when the session is less than 20 minutes.
But regardless of the time of day or my energy level, I doze off (I guess). And since I'm sitting, as my head falls forward I kinda jerk as I "wake up" and the person I'm working on feels it. I reckon it's kind of annoying to be trying to relax or relaxed and experience it. Though none of the folks I've work on have mentioned it.
Any one else have that experience? Or ideas about it?
thanks,

Re: Falling asleep or "being meditated" while giving a session....
Mon, February 13, 2006 - 12:49 PMI so love SNR, it would be nice to see more dialogue on this tribe.
I asked my teacher Ambrosio about the "falling asleep" while giving sessions. He smiled and said it often happens the first few years and not to worry. The work is being done.
Have any of you in the US had to good fortune of meeting Ambrosio? He worked with Guru Dev on the book and, I obeserved in Assisi, is Guru Dev's "favorite" student.
Ambrosio is also a medical Dr., Kundalini yoga teacher trainer, father, darbuka player and generally lots of fun.
Besides "the work", one on the nicest things I came back from Assisi with is knowing that Guru Dev is also lots of fun, a good joke teller and not on some serious "I'm the master" ego trip. I could just sit and listen to him tell Nasrudin stories all day......
I was sooo honored to be invited to perform (bellydance) for his birthday party while in Assisi. -

Tue, February 28, 2006 - 12:12 AMWhere does Ambrosio teach? I live in Los Angeles and am interested in learning more.
It was a pleasant surprise to find out Guru Dev got a bellydance for his birthday. I also bellydance and can appreciate that the art form finds it way into the yoga and SNR world. Perhaps we can collaborate someday...

Re: Falling asleep or "being meditated" while giving a session....
Tue, February 28, 2006 - 2:56 AMAmbrosio lives in Madrid. And I don't know if if he teaches outside of Europe.
I live near Barcelona, but am from the LA area.
Guru Dev does miniworkshops a couple times a year in LA, last year they were all in Golden Brigdge.
There was also live music and contemporary dance for Guru Dev's birthday celebration.
Maybe in summer, when I plan to visit LA, we could meet up.

Re: Falling asleep or "being meditated" while giving a session....
Mon, December 18, 2006 - 1:07 PMGuru Dev mentioned this last Sat. while he was giving a class in Barcelona. If I understood correctly, he said when people start out practicing SNR their mind isn't used to being so still, so sometimes it just goes to sleep. Make sense to you folks?
